Looking to join an experienced team of doctors and technicians? Shane Veterinary is seeking a positive individual for the position of veterinary assistant and/or veterinary technician for 24-hour high volume veterinary practice. Experience is required. Applicants must be skilled at: • IV catheter placement • phlebotomy • safely restraining cats and dogs • taking radiographs (orthopedic and soft tissue) • anesthesia monitoring • dental cleanings (preferred but not required) • skin and ear cytology (preferred but not required) Individuals must also be comfortable with client communication, computers and paperless records and must demonstrate excellent patient care. Other duties include: • checking in patients • in-clinic patient care • filling prescriptions • client education • laser treatments • running in-house blood work • equipment maintenance • stocking • cleaning • Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
