UPS Freight, a leader in the LTL trucking industry, iscurrently seeking an Operations Supervisor to produce maximumprofit while providing excellent service to the customer. Thisindividual oversees and is directly involved in more than one ofthe following operations; dock, P&D, and Road Dispatch,including, but not limited to, customer service, productivity,quality freight handling, claims prevention, load average, andsafety. Responsibilities and Duties * Manages, plans, organizes,and directs all employees assigned to them * Manages and implementssecurity and loss prevention procedures * Prepares and managessafety procedures in accordance with Company, OSHA, and DOTguidelines * Prepares and implements action plans to ensure theservice center achieves planned productivity, load average, cubeutilization, and service targets * Works with Central Dispatch todevelop a linehaul plan to effectively and efficiently move freightto destinations within Company service standards * Schedulesemployees in accordance with hours planning, the company's run bidprocess, and service
