Responsibilities PRN Day shift-flexible scheduling, supplemental non- benefit position TheRegistered Nurse (RN) PRN Days for Med Surg Day shift 7a-7p atWellstar North Fulton is a proactive member of an interdisciplinaryteam of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure thatpatients, families and significant others receive individualizedhigh quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinicalenvironment that is administered by Nurse Managers and otherleaders and is supported through the WellStar Shared GovernanceModel. The framework for practice is steered by the WellStarProfessional Practice Model, 5-Star Nursing and evidence basedpractice and research. RN competencies are derived from thesemodels and supported by the WellStar Core Competencies. It isexpected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeableand uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the GeorgiaProfessional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope ofPractice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the AmericanNurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it isexpected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient,system policies and procedures while supporting service excellencegoals. Qualifications Required Minimum Education * Graduate of anaccredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree innursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing PreferredEducation * National certification in area of specialty preferredRequired Minimum Licensure/Certification * Current/active licenseas a registered nurse in the State of Georgia * Must have a currentBLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day ofemployment in position. Required Minimum Experience * Experiencewith direct patient care preferred. One year recent and relevant RNexperience is required per PRN agreement and role as supplementalstaff Required Minimum Skills * Ability to read, write and speakEnglish language, optimize the use of technology to supportclinical care and holds basic computer skills * Stronginterpersonal, collaborative skills along with customer serviceskills * Ability to function in a fast paced environment andrespond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectfulmanner * Possess excellent time management skills; practicesnursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessingstrong critical thinking skills.
