Summary - Travel RN – Surgical Unit – Poudre Valley Hospital - FortCollins, CO

Provides directpatient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope andstandards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of theorganization.

Travel RNfor our Surgical Med Surg Unit at PVH
shifts – Rotating
Rotating - Sunday - Saturday;
Varies, every other weekend, every other holiday

2 yearsmed/surg experience including Neuro

BLS

Job Duties

· Plans,implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment tooptimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

· Monitors,records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

· Collaboratesas needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluateslearning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectivelydelegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses andnew hires.

Skills andAbilities:

Within scope ofjob, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability towork with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions usingpersonal protective equipment as required.
