RN Traveler - 13 week contracts - extension option

Summary -- Travel RN – Emergency Department – University of ColoradoHospital, Aurora, CO

Provides directpatient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope andstandards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of theorganization.

Need up to 5 ED Traveler RNs for Metro ED in Aurora, CO for Nights, Days, and Mids

Rotating shifts - No straight days.

EmergencyDepartment - Level 1 trauma center, Comprehensive Stroke Center

Travel RN - ERat University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO
2 years of ER experience is highly preferred
BLS, ACLS, TNCC or ATCN, ENPC orPALS, and NIHSS required
Shift– Rotating/Days/Nights

Job Duties

· Plans,implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment tooptimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

· Monitors,records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates asneeded across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluateslearning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

· Effectivelydelegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses andnew hires.

Skills and Abilities:

Within scope of job,requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work withminimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, and takeappropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions using personal protectiveequipment as required.
