The Medical Intensive Care Unit at Longmont United Hospital is a Medical/Surgical ICU department with 16 beds. We see a variety of trauma patients (GI bleeds, post MI patients requiring support devices or medication) and anyone in need of critical care, we also provide house telemetry overflow as needed. Our department's mission is to foster evidenced-based knowledge and education advancement, delivering the best care to ourpatients and their families. We have created a team where regardless of differences, we strive side-by-side to improve lives and we believe in each other! The ICU is a dynamic environment where the patients, treatments and experiences are different every day. You will find self-scheduling, multiple education al opportunities and support from Centura Health with specialty certification through a generous pay differential. Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient. Promotes the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
