PositionSummary: 

As a Nursing Hospital HouseSupervisor you will work under the direction of the Manager of Nurse Staffing,the Director of Medical/Surgical Services and the Administrator On-Call, youwill be responsible for overseeing and maintaining quality patient care througheffective management of clinical activities of the hospital during yourassigned shift. 

 

What youwill do in this role:


  • You willoversee nurse staffing and ensure that there is the appropriate number and typeof nursing personnel to care for the number and acuity of patients. 

  • You willreview patient care daily, visit patients regularly, making suggestions toimprove care and become involved in the care of selected patients. 

  • You willdemonstrate an understanding of the budget process and staffing plan,implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply managementdecisions. 

  • You willparticipate in the monitoring, coaching, evaluating and discipliningprocess. 

  • You will ensure the timely admissionof patients from the Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Direct Admissionsand the Access Center.

  • You will respond as patient advocateduring off-hours to patient concerns and report these interactions to thePatient Advocacy Department.

  • You will respond to all CODE/RRTsituations throughout the facility.

Qualifications

What Qualifications you will need:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license. 

  • BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Three years minimum experience in acute care preferred.

  • Three years minimum supervisory experience.
