Summary - Travel RN – Mountain Crest Behavioral – FortCollins, CO

Provides directpatient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope andstandards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of theorganization.

CeDAR is the Center for Addiction, Dependency, and Rehabilitation with the primary mission to provide treatment for substance use disorders. Our patients recover! You will be working with the nursing team to provide medical detox treatment from substance use disorders in a voluntary treatment facility. Once patients acute withdrawal is stable, the nursing team provides ongoing medical support and medication management with co-occurring medical and psychiatric acuity in our residential levels of care. This is a dynamic position that blends medical and behavioral health skills. We are located adjacent to UCH on the Anschutz Medical Campus caring for up to 40 patients in our inpatient setting.

Job Duties

· Plans,implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment tooptimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

· Monitors,records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

· Collaboratesas needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patienttransfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluateslearning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family educationappropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Effectivelydelegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses andnew hires.

Skills andAbilities:

Within scope ofjob, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability towork with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast pacedenvironment, and take appropriate action. Follows Standard Precautions usingpersonal protective equipment as required.
