Summary - Travel RN – LevelIII NICU – University of Colorado Hospital, Aurora, CO
Provides direct patient care usingthe nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards ofpractice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.


Level III 50 bed NICU


Travel RN NICU team

Rotating – 7p-7a, 7a-7p - hours vary

Level III NICU experience required

Job Duties

· Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based onpatient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition asappropriate.

· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinatepatient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral andspiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family andprovides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, andcircumstances. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. Mayprecept student nurses and new hires.

Skills andAbilities:

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills,decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must beable to work in a fast paced environment, and take appropriate action. FollowsStandard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
