Primary Responsibilities: * Conducts pre-donationmedical screening in accordance with established guidelines. * Youdetermine Hematocrit (HCT) and Protein via finger stick and use ofthe hematastat and refractometer. * Promotes customer satisfactionthrough appropriate interaction and responsiveness to customerneeds. * Assesses donor suitability and engages in set-up, monitor,and disconnect procedures of the plasmapheresis machine and donors.* Provides appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates. *Ensures all donor screening information is complete and accurateprior to donation. * Ensures donor confidentiality. * Effectivelycommunicates donor medical information to Medical Staff. *Establishes and maintains donor files in an organized and competentmanner. * Maintains accurate and thorough documentation ofnecessary records. * Assists in maintaining a clean, organized andefficient work area, including maintaining supplies necessary toperform job duties. * Disposes of all contaminated disposableequipment. * Builds rapport with donors to ensure overall customersatisfaction with the center to support long-term donation. *Performs general administrative duties, including greeting donorsin a friendly manner, answering phones, and assisting centermanagement as needed. * Learns and maintains through familiarityand compliance with all state and federal regulations, U.S. Foodand Drug Administration (FDA)-approved Standard Operating ProcedureManual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current GoodManufacturing Practice (cGMP) and internal company procedures. *Maintains and ensures proper sanitation and cleaning of equipmentand work areas between donors. * May assist, plan and participatein marketing programs, community service activities, mentoring,training, facility care and continuous improvement activities. Primary Responsibilities: * You assist indetermining the suitability of donors to undergo plasmapheresisprior to venipuncture. * You establish rapport with donors toensure overall customer happiness with the center to supportlong-term donation, all while ensuring donor confidentiality. * Yourespond to and assist with handling donor reactions in accordancewith guidelines. * Monitors donor and equipment to ensure health ofdonors and quality of product. * Sets up, disconnects, and operatesthe automated plasmapheresis machines including response andevaluation of all autopheresis troubleshooting displays,documentation of exceptions, etc. Ensures the proper calibrationand maintenance of autopheresis machines and associated equipment.May be trained to repair plasma equipment. * Disconnects anddisposes of all contaminated disposable equipment. Ensures propercleaning of equipment and work area between donors. Maintainsaccurate and thorough documentation of production records. * Learnsand maintains thorough familiarity and compliance with all stateand federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating ProcedureManual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA),Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current GoodManufacturing Practice (cGMP) and internal company procedures. Youreport all unsafe situations or conditions to area lead, supervisoror manager. Are you a fit for Grifols? Yes, if you have: * HighSchool diploma, GED or foreign equivalency. * Knock-your-socks-offcustomer service skills, and ability to work flexible scheduling tomeet business needs. * Proficient in speaking and writing English,with legible handwriting. Where applicable, bi-lingualSpanish/Korean/Mandarin skills. * Ability to understand and followSOPs and protocols, and perform in a highly-regulated, operationsintensive, high-volume medical business in which the safety ofdonors and employees, as well as the quality of the plasmacollected, are paramount. Do you have any experience? Our Level 1(PO9300) typically requires no previous related experience althoughpreference may be given to those with some training or priorexperience. Our Level 2 (PO9301) typically requires 1 year ofexperience in primary area. Note that certain state licensures orcertifications may apply.
