Civil Engineer

Looking for a Civil Engineer in New York, NY! **Vehicle required**

MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or science
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Vehicle to get to work required
- Ability to work independently with little supervision

PLUS:
- Knowledge of plant species
- Worked for landscaper for several years/summers

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Email from PM where to go
- Meet Superintendent at job site by 7 am
- Observe contractors on site
- Coordinate with PM to make sure enough people are there
- Ensure safety,
- Work with Parks Department and contractors
- Use spec book and understand contents
- Look at soil, plant material and evaluate soil
- Install correct trees by matching species (tag on trees and soils)
- Ensure safety on site such as contractors wearing PPE
- Record and track measurements for pay items (contractor gets paid based on amount of trees planted and excavation)
- WILL NOT BE CLIMBING
- WILL NOT BE ON ACTIVE ROADWAYS
- NO PRUNING OF TREES
- All activity will be done on land level
