Behavioral Health Technician CNA

Summary:
Under the supervision of Clinical staff, provides direct patient care and assists with maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

Work Schedule: Full Time Rotating

Responsibilities:
Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, including recording vital signs and assisting with general care and activities of daily living as directed by licensed staff.

Actively participates in recreational and occupational activities with patients.

Oversees the safety and security of assigned patients and provides crisis intervention and milieu management on the unit/area where working as directed by licensed staff.

Observes and records patient behavior and activities and reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to licensed clinical staff.

Withinscope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
