Pharmacy Technician II

Summary:
Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist and patients. Acts as a mentor for Level I technicians.

Work Schedule:

• Part Time, 0.6 FTE (48 hrs/pp)


• Days and hours may vary


• Day shift


• Non-Exempt (hourly)

Responsibilities:

• Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems and/or processes incoming prescriptions. Repackages bulk medications. May be responsible for sterile and non-sterile compounding.


• Fills medication carts on a daily basis and/or processes and fills prescription orders.


• Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department and/or assists with shelving and stocking of medications.


• Audits medication inventory for expiration.


• Withinscope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
