Summary:

Flex/PRN pharmacist coordinates and provides the pharmaceutical care for adult intensive care unit (ICU) patients. Please note that this position will require coverage of COVID-19 ICU patients. This person will be expected to be flexible with coverage and available to cover 7 days a week, including day, evening, and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be trained in ICU and ED to be able to pick up shifts as needed in either area.

Job Duties:

• Manages pharmaceutical care and protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.


• Responds to all resuscitation/emergency response needs in the adult inpatient areas


• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug-related problems.


• Provides drug information and education to medical professionals, students, and patients.


• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
